Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At PrevailForms, we believe your payroll data is yours and yours alone. Unlike cloud-based services, PrevailForms processes all data directly on your device. We have no access to your compliance data, employee information, or export files.

This Privacy Policy explains what minimal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

1. Data You Create in the App

Stored Locally on Your Device: All payroll data, worker information, project details, timesheets, and export files remain on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We do not have access to this data. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly:

• Enable iCloud sync (data syncs through Apple's iCloud Private Database, encrypted and accessible only to you)
• Export files and share them via AirDrop, email, or other methods you control

2. Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your PrevailForms data syncs across your devices using Apple's CloudKit Private Database. This data:

• Is encrypted in transit and at rest
• Remains in Apple's infrastructure (not our servers)
• Is accessible only to you via your Apple ID
• Can be disabled at any time in Settings

We have no access to your iCloud data. Apple's Privacy Policy governs how iCloud handles your information.

3. Purchase and Subscription Information

When you subscribe to PrevailForms through the App Store, Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription. We receive only:

• Anonymous subscription status (active/expired/trial)
• No payment details or personal information

4. Crash Reports and Analytics

We use Apple's built-in crash reporting to identify and fix bugs. These reports:

• Contain no payroll data or personally identifiable information
• Include only technical data (device model, iOS version, crash stack traces)
• Help us improve app stability and performance
• Can be disabled in your device's Privacy settings

We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services in version 1.0.

5. Support Communications

If you contact our support team via email, we collect:

• Your email address
• The content of your support request
• Any information you voluntarily provide to help us assist you

We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and improve our support resources.

How We Use Your Information

The minimal information we collect is used exclusively to:

• Provide the Service: Verify subscription status and enable app features
• Improve the App: Identify and fix crashes, optimize performance
• Customer Support: Respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues
• Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws and regulations

We never:

• Sell your data to third parties
• Use your data for advertising or marketing purposes
• Share your information with third parties (except as required by law)
• Train AI models on your compliance data

Data Security

PrevailForms employs industry-standard security practices:

• On-Device Storage: All data uses iOS secure storage (encrypted at rest when device is locked)
• iCloud Encryption: Data synced via iCloud is encrypted in transit and at rest
• No Third-Party Servers: We don't operate servers that could be breached
• Code Security: Regular security audits and updates

While we implement strong security measures, no system is 100% secure. Protect your device with a passcode and keep iOS updated.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Control Your Data

Because your data lives on your device, you have complete control:

• View: All data is accessible within the app
• Export: Generate and share compliance files at any time
• Delete: Remove employer profiles, projects, or the entire app
• Disable iCloud Sync: Toggle sync off in Settings to keep data local only

Delete Your iCloud Data

To delete all PrevailForms data from iCloud:

1. Go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage
2. Select PrevailForms
3. Tap "Delete Data"

Opt Out of Crash Reports

To disable crash report sharing:

1. Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements
2. Toggle off "Share iPhone Analytics" or "Share iPad Analytics"

Children's Privacy

PrevailForms is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us immediately.

International Users

PrevailForms is designed for U.S. construction compliance requirements. If you use the app outside the United States, your data remains on your device or in your personal iCloud storage (subject to Apple's data location policies).

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
• Displaying an in-app notification
• Sending an email (if you've contacted support)

Continued use of PrevailForms after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
